Red Crate Rentals is a filmmaker-owned cinema gear house in West Palm Beach, built on favors, grown by word of mouth, run by someone who's been on your side of the call sheet.
We rent the gear we’d want on our own shoots, prepped, tested, and labelled, to the crews we actually know.

From favors
to a full house.
Kyle is a full-time filmmaker. On every shoot he kept hitting the same wall: someone needed a last-minute piece of gear, a specific tool, and there was nowhere local to get it without a deposit headache and a half-day drive.
So he started letting buddies in West Palm Beach borrow his lighting kits for cash. Word got around. The calls and messages started rolling in. The kit grew. The kit grew again.
What began as friends-and-favors lighting kits turned into a real rental house, cameras, lenses, lighting, grip, and audio, without losing the part that made people call in the first place: a human picks up, the gear is ready, and nobody’s treated like a transaction.
It’s still that. Just bigger. And still filmmaker-run.
