1 · What we collect
To rent you gear and run your account, we collect your name, email, phone number, billing address, the contents and dates of your rentals, and, for first-time renters, a photo of your driver’s license for identity verification. If you join the community, we also store the profile details you choose to share (city, expertise, bio, links).
Payment card details are handled and stored by Stripe, our payment processor. We never see or store full card numbers on our own systems.
2 · How we use it
We use your information to process bookings and payments, verify identity, send transactional messages (confirmations, pickup and return reminders, fee notices), calculate your loyalty tier, and, only with your opt-in, send occasional marketing about new gear and community events.
4 · ID & sensitive documents
Driver’s license images are stored in encrypted, private storage and are accessible only to verified administrators through short-lived, time-limited links. They are used solely for identity verification and are never shared or used for marketing.
5 · Retention
We keep booking and financial records as long as required for legal and tax purposes. If you close your account, we retain the minimum history needed to honor those obligations and remove the rest.
6 · Your rights
You can view and edit your personal and community profile information any time from your account. To request a copy of your data, correct it, or ask us to delete what we’re not legally required to keep, contact us, account deletion is currently handled by our team on request.
